Arkansas State Baseball Adds Four to 2026 Roster
Arkansas State head baseball coach Mike Silva announced the addition of four key signees to the Red Wolves' 2026 roster on Tuesday. The latest recruits—Jalen Foxx, Cougar Cooke, Wes Pritchard, and Evan Griffis—bolster an already strong 2025 recruiting class, adding a blend of proven collegiate experience and promising prep talent.
Jalen Foxx – TNXL Academy
Foxx brings championship pedigree to Jonesboro after helping lead TNXL Academy to the 2025 National Academies Association National Championship. The Sanford, Florida native made waves on the national scene, earning an invitation to the 2024 Perfect Game National Showcase. He was named a 2025 PG Preseason All-American and earned First Team Florida All-Region honors. A versatile player, Foxx contributed as both a left-handed pitcher and an outfielder with the Ducks.
Cougar Cooke – Utah Valley
Cooke arrives from Utah Valley University, where he displayed power and patience at the plate. Over two seasons, he slashed .238/.400/.429, hitting six home runs and two doubles. In 2025, he posted a .714 slugging percentage in limited action, showcasing his offensive upside. Prior to his college career, Cooke starred at Show Low High School, earning 3A East All-Region and All-State honors twice, as well as being named Offensive Player of the Year.
Wes Pritchard – Mississippi State
Pritchard joins the Red Wolves after a season at SEC powerhouse Mississippi State. The former standout at Lamar High School in Mississippi was ranked the No. 5 left-handed pitcher in the state by Perfect Game in 2024. Known for his mound presence and lefty command, Pritchard adds depth and talent to A-State’s pitching staff.
Evan Griffis – Stetson University
Griffis transfers in after a productive three-year career at Stetson University, where he was a key contributor during back-to-back NCAA Regional runs and two 40-win seasons. The outfielder appeared in 139 games, making 102 starts, and compiled a career slash line of .235/.349/.392. He totaled 21 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs, and 45 RBIs for the Hatters. A former Perfect Game Top-100 outfield prospect, Griffis signed with Stetson out of Lake Brantley High School in Florida.
