Bracket Set for Sun Belt Baseball Championship
Following the conclusion of the regular season Saturday evening, the Sun Belt Conference announced the seeds and matchups for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship presented by Troy University.
The 10-team tournament will be held at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala., from Tuesday, May 20, to Sunday, May 25.
Coastal Carolina (44-11, 26-4 SBC) swept its final six conference series to finish 26-4 and earn the Sun Belt regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed in the tournament. The Chanticleers have won 14-straight games heading into the postseason, where they will be looking for their third all-time tournament title (2018 & 2019).
No. 2 seed Southern Miss, No. 3 seed Troy, No. 4 seed Marshall, No. 5 seed Louisiana and No. 6 seed Old Dominion also earned byes into the eight-team double-elimination portion of the tournament bracket.
A pair of single-elimination games between No. 10 seed App State and No. 7 seed Texas State and No. 9 seed Georgia Southern and No. 8 seed Arkansas State will open tournament play on Tuesday, May 20.
Every tournament game will be nationally broadcast on ESPN+, concluding with the championship game at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 25.

Southern Miss is the two-time defending tournament champion, having won the event in each of its appearances since joining the Sun Belt ahead of the 2023 baseball season. The Golden Eagles enter the postseason on a 15-game winning streak, as 1-of-3 Sun Belt programs ranked in all five national polls alongside Coastal Carolina and Troy.
Historically a multi-bid conference, the Sun Belt has sent multiple teams to the postseason in 29-of-35 seasons since 1989. The Sun Belt has sent four teams to NCAA Baseball Regionals in each of the past three seasons, with all four reaching their respective regional finals in 2024.
